Keepsake Bookmark for Launch of True Portland

We were busy last week making a keepsake bookmark to celebrate the launch of the first English edition of True Portland: The Unofficial Guide for Creative People. These little gems are printed three color on 100% recycled white paper board & were produced completely analog. We started with hand cut rubylith, a two color design that was then litho printed. The text was composed on the Linotype, using Electra 8^484 and Electra 14^216, then letterpress printed in black ink.

Hawthorne Books + MEDIA SURF will be having a launch party on Thursday, June 22 at Reverend Nat’s Cidery, from 6-10pm (21+ only). The event features a marketplace with local purveyors of Japanese food, drink, and goods, as well as copies of True Portland available for sale. Pick up a book and a keepsake bookmark, too!
